School Speech Language Pathologist - Medway, Massachusetts
This position offers an 8-week contract to provide specialized speech-language pathology services at an elementary school setting. The role focuses on supporting students in pre-kindergarten through 1st grade during a leave period from February 23rd to April 17th. Ideal candidates will have strong experience in delivering direct therapy and be comfortable managing meetings and preparing progress reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to 8 students, including those using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to early learners
- Collaborate with educators and families to support students’ communication goals
- Attend and lead IEP meetings, documenting student progress thoroughly
- Maintain accurate and timely progress reports and therapy notes
Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working with school-aged children, specifically pre-kindergarten through 1st grade
- Demonstrated proficiency with AAC devices and related therapy techniques
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with school staff and families
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseload and documentation for an 8-week leave replacement
