Pediatric School Speech and Language Pathologist | Beachwood, Ohio
A long-term Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide coverage for a leave of absence in an elementary school setting. This contract position will begin in January and continue through the end of the school year, supporting students in grades 3 through 5.
Located in Beachwood, OH, this role offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative team of three SLPs who share resources and expertise to enhance student outcomes. The caseload will consist of approximately 50 students, including those requiring speech-only therapy as well as students in self-contained classrooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language evaluations, treatment, and progress monitoring for elementary-aged students
- Implement individualized therapy plans tailored to students’ specific speech and language goals
- Collaborate closely with other SLPs, teachers, and support staff to ensure consistency and continuity of care
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district and state requirements
- Participate in meetings with families and professionals as needed
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification (CCC preferred)
- Experience working in school-based settings, specifically with pediatric populations
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload including speech-only and self-contained students
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to collaborative teamwork
- Clinical fellowship year (CFY) completion or current status is acceptable
