Oregon Remote SLP Bilingual Communication Specialist (1099)
We’re seeking a Bilingual Communication Specialist to support multilingual students in Oregon school districts. This fully remote 1099 role involves evaluating and serving students whose primary language is not English. You’ll work with ELL teams to provide culturally and linguistically appropriate services. SLPs with Spanish, Russian, Vietnamese, or other high-need language fluency are encouraged to apply. This is a flexible, impactful role supporting language equity in schools.
Duties:

Conduct speech-language evaluations for ELL students

Distinguish language difference from disorder

Provide bilingual or interpreted therapy sessions

Collaborate with ESL teachers and interpreters

Develop culturally responsive therapy goals

Support language development in both English and home language

Modify assessments to reduce bias

Train staff on multicultural communication needs

Document services in compliance with Oregon regulations

Provide caregiver communication in native languages

Advocate for inclusive practices

Attend virtual IEP and ELL team meetings

Support language access plans

Maintain confidentiality and cultural sensitivity

Monitor academic-language integration

VOCOVISION Requirements
· Must have a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
· Contractors must provide your their own liability insurance
· Comfortable being an independent contractor (1099)
· Home computer with high internet speed
· Passed basic tech screening
Interview Process:
- 10-15 minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter
- 20-30 minute Virtual Interview with the School District
- Offer is typically within 24-48 hours of the virtual interview
