A contract position is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in a K-12 school setting in Glen Allen, VA. This role focuses on providing comprehensive speech and language services throughout the current school year.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and evaluations of student speech, language, and communication abilities
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ specific needs
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Monitoring and documenting student outcomes and adjusting interventions as necessary
- Participating in team meetings and maintaining compliance with school policies and regulations
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or equivalent state license
- Prior experience working as an SLP in school settings, preferably K-12
- Strong understanding of speech and language development and disorders in children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, families, and staff
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively and maintain accurate records
