Speech Therapist in New Oxford, PA
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) opportunity available in New Oxford, PA, serving preschool-aged children with special needs. This contract position offers a dynamic role delivering speech-language therapy across a diverse range of early childhood settings, including preschool special education classrooms, Head Start programs, Pre-K Counts classes, daycares, and community preschools.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized speech-language therapy to children ages 3 to 5 with special needs.
- Manage a caseload building to 55 students by the end of the school year.
- Deliver services to students attending ‘walk-in’ sessions, facilitating parent-involved therapy.
- Travel to multiple early intervention and preschool program locations throughout the community, with travel time included in paid hours.
- Allocate half a day per week for paperwork, Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, and collaboration.
- Work a 35-hour week following a 188-day preschool stretch calendar, from ASAP through June 2026.
Preferred qualifications and experience include:
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) or currently completing CFY.
- Experience with early intervention and preschool-age speech therapy preferred.
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques across varied educational settings.
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseload and documentation effectively.
- Effective communication skills to engage with parents, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
