A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a school setting located in Belvidere, IL. This is a contract role covering leave from August 12 through November 2, with a 37.5-hour workweek. Two SLP vacancies are open, one of which prefers a bilingual candidate. The caseload will primarily involve working with elementary and preschool students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to children in elementary and preschool settings
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student communication goals
- Follow established protocols and maintain compliance with educational guidelines
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification/license appropriate for school settings
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Experience working with young children (pre-K and elementary)
- Bilingual ability is preferred for one of the positions to support diverse student needs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
