School SLP Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Position | Near Maywood, IL Area
A school district in Maywood, Illinois is currently hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their student services team. This full-time, school-based opportunity is focused on delivering speech and language therapy to students with a wide range of communication needs in an educational setting.
Position Summary:
The SLP will evaluate student needs, implement therapy services, and contribute to individualized education programs (IEPs). You’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and related service staff to promote meaningful progress in speech, language, and overall student participation.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct speech-language assessments and contribute to eligibility determinations

Develop and implement individualized speech-language goals through IEPs
-
Provide direct therapy services to students in small group or individual settings
-
Document services, progress, and outcomes in accordance with school protocols

Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for student services

Consult with teachers and families on strategies for communication support

Maintain compliance with Illinois school-based service delivery guidelines
Qualifications:
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university
-
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathology endorsement

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred

Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills

School-based experience is a plus
