A school setting in Mason, OH, has two full-time contract openings for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to serve a K-12 student population at a specialized deaf school. These positions are available ASAP through June 5, with a split caseload of approximately 90 students shared between two therapists.

Ideal candidates will have experience with American Sign Language (ASL), as this is an essential skill for working effectively in this role. While in-person work is preferred to facilitate communication and collaboration, qualified virtual candidates with ASL proficiency may also be considered for full-time placement. Virtual candidates without ASL experience may be eligible only for part-time hours, to be determined.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing speech-language therapy services to students grades K-12 with hearing impairments
  • Collaborating with an advisory team for ongoing mentorship and clinical support
  • Managing a shared caseload of approximately 90 students with diverse communication needs
  • Ensuring individualized therapy plans align with students’ educational goals and standards

Qualifications and desired experience:

  • Valid SLP licensure and credentials appropriate for school settings
  • Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (required for full consideration)
  • Experience working with deaf and hard-of-hearing students preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to student growth
