A full-time Speech Language Pathologist is needed to cover a maternity leave position during the spring in a K-12 school district located in Bellingham, WA. This contract role provides an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse student population across all grade levels while gaining valuable experience in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and assist with student evaluations
Qualifications:
- Current Washington State Speech Language Pathologist license required
- Experience in school-based speech therapy preferred
- Knowledge of pediatric speech, language, and communication disorders
- Ability to work effectively with children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds
- Strong communication and organizational skills
