School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Matthews, North Carolina

A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with their CCCs is needed to serve a caseload of approximately 25-35 students, primarily on support plans, at a high school within a well-established district near Matthews, NC. This position offers flexibility in scheduling—whether you’re seeking 1, 2, or up to 3 days per week (7.5 to 22.5 hours total)—with collaboration alongside a compassionate and experienced on-site SLP.
Your role centers on helping students with moderate to severe medical needs, particularly those requiring alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) support. Most therapy will be consultative, focused on support planning, as direct therapy needs are minimal. You'll become an integral support for a team dedicated to meaningful inclusion and communication access.
Qualifications:
- Active NC State Speech-Language Pathology License
- NC Educator Certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Expertise working with medically fragile and minimally verbal students
- Experience with AAC devices and strategies
