A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a K-12 school in New Orleans, LA, with a contract running through the current school year until May 21, 2026. This position offers an onsite opportunity to support students across a variety of grade levels and speech-language needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to students within a K-8 school setting.
- Manage a caseload ranging from 50 to 60 students (PreK-8th) or 55 students (4th-8th), depending on candidate preference.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and comply with district and state regulations regarding speech-language services.
Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) is preferred.
- Experience or certification specifically in school-based speech-language pathology (SLP-School) highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively onsite with PreK-8th grade students.
- Open to candidates currently holding Clinical Fellow (CF) status.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to handle a moderate to large caseload.
Location: New Orleans, LA
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
