Travel School Speech Therapist | Marlborough, Massachusetts
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Marlborough, MA, providing specialized therapy services in a school setting focused on students with diverse needs. This travel position offers work Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, serving a caseload of approximately 10 students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Moderate to Severe disabilities, incorporating Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.
Responsibilities include delivering effective speech and language therapy tailored to each student’s needs and maintaining thorough and accurate paperwork related to therapy sessions. The role emphasizes focused therapeutic support, as SLPs in this position are not responsible for Individualized Education Program (IEP) development or management, allowing for concentrated clinical work.
Preferred qualifications for candidates include:
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working within school environments
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies
- Skills in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and moderate to severe challenges
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
- Ability to engage effectively with students and multidisciplinary teams
