Speech and Language Pathologist in Alpharetta, GA
Providing specialized speech-language support for elementary students requires skilled and dedicated professionals. Two full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) positions are available for maternity leave coverage in the Northern Atlanta area, specifically within schools located in Acworth and Woodstock, GA. These roles will serve elementary-aged children and involve working directly within the school setting.
Location: Alpharetta, GA (Northern Atlanta area)
Assignment Type: Contract (Maternity Leave Coverage)
Start Date: Early to Mid March 2026
End Date: End of School Year (Last day 5/22/2026)
Schedule: Full-time (37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday)
Schools Assigned: One school per position, either Acworth or Woodstock
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services tailored to elementary-age students
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals accordingly
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
Required Qualifications:
- Active Georgia Department of Education Certification for Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Georgia SLP License
- Proven experience and skills working within a school environment
- Ability to commit to a full-time schedule (part-time candidates will not be considered)
- Experience with elementary-aged students strongly preferred
