Key Qualifications:
- Hold a current Minnesota Speech-Language Pathologist license (required)
- Experience working with early childhood populations, preferably in a school-based setting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Comfortable managing a caseload of preschool-age children receiving Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) services
- Demonstrated ability to engage with diverse students, families, and staff
- A passion for early intervention and a commitment to evidence-based practice
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide direct therapy to children ages 3-5 identified with speech and language needs
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and evaluations for ECSE eligibility
- Maintain detailed and accurate records in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Provide consultation and support to classroom staff and caregivers
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
This contract role runs from late August to early June, offering a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with 37.5 hours per week and the fulfillment that comes from supporting early learners at a pivotal time in their development.
