Travel SLP in Manchester, CT
Provide essential support services as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for educational settings in the Manchester and Bloomfield, CT areas. This position offers the opportunity to work in vibrant school communities, traveling between locations to support diverse student needs while gaining valuable experience across grade levels.
Locations & Schedule:
- Manchester, CT Campus: Serving K-5 students
- Bloomfield, CT Campus: Serving grades 6-12
- Full-time commitment, 30-40 hours per week
- Position duration from ASAP through mid-June (end of school year)
- Caseload of approximately 5-7 students per location
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in delivering therapy services tailored to individual student goals
- Implement therapy plans following established protocols and under supervision
- Document student progress and maintain clear records
- Collaborate with educational staff to support student communication development
- Adapt to the travel schedule, ensuring consistent presence at both campuses
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Certification and experience as an SLPA in school settings
- Familiarity with Speech-Language Pathology practices for diverse age groups (K-12)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to travel between Manchester and Bloomfield campuses as required
