This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is based in Madison, AL, supporting a PreK-8th grade school on a contract through May 2026. The position offers a structured schedule working Monday through Thursday providing direct therapy services and Fridays dedicated to assessments.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to a caseload currently around 58 students, with support to reduce caseload size
- Collaborate with one additional SLP to manage caseload distribution and therapy schedules independently
- Conduct assessments, develop individual treatment plans, and maintain clear documentation, including case management and IEPs through PowerSchool
- Utilize para support staff to assist with student transportation to therapy sessions
- Adhere to state laws and school policies to ensure compliance and best practices in speech-language pathology services
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Alabama
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred
- Proven experience working in school settings with both in-person and virtual therapy delivery
- Familiarity with Alabama speech therapy regulations and educational case management highly desired
- Skilled in managing caseloads and collaborating with educational teams to support student progress
Work Schedule & Location:
- Monday to Thursday: Direct therapy sessions
- Friday: Assessment and documentation
- School start time: 7:45 AM CST
- Located in Madison, AL
