A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is open for leave coverage near Decatur, Alabama. This is a contract role serving PreK through 8th-grade students, providing an excellent opportunity for SLPs with experience across pediatrics and school settings to support student communication needs.
Location: Near Decatur, Alabama
Duration: Approximately April 20, 2026, through May 20, 2026
Setting: School (PreK-8)
Schedule: Full time
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to PreK-8 students
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and provide therapy in accordance with best-practice clinical protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Valid Alabama State SLP license
- Alabama school credential for Speech-Language Pathologist mandatory
- Experience with pediatric speech therapy in school or healthcare environments preferred
- Ability to provide teletherapy services a plus, but not required
