Speech Pathology - Lexington Park, MD
A contract position is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services in a school setting in Lexington Park, MD, with placements at multiple schools within the district. The role involves supporting students at elementary and middle school levels, delivering both in-person and teletherapy sessions as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement speech and language therapy to support students' communication skills
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to monitor progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
- Provide teletherapy sessions when necessary to ensure consistent student support
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland SLP license is required
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology preferred
- Proficiency in delivering teletherapy services effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with school staff and families
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently and meet scheduled hours
Schedule and Location:
- Full-time contract position with 37.5 hours per week
- Assignments available at Warwick Elementary School and North Dorchester Middle School immediately
- Additional placement at Choptank Elementary School beginning April 1st
- Contract ends June 10th, 2026
