Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Lowell, MA
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an elementary school in Lowell, MA, supporting a preschool program within a single building. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to preschool students with moderate to severe disabilities, including AAC users.
- Manage a caseload that will begin lighter and increase throughout the school year, potentially reaching up to 30 students.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Utilize expertise in AAC devices to support complex learning needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathology license required.
- Open to Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellows (SLP CF) looking for valuable school-based experience.
- Experience working with AAC systems and students with complex communication needs is essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and school personnel.
- Ability to manage a dynamic and growing caseload efficiently.
Schedule & Location:
- Position located in Lowell, MA.
- Approximately 6 hours per day, 4 days per week, with the possibility of up to 30 hours per week if scheduling expands to 5 days.
- Contract role through the school year.
