School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Los Angeles, California
A full-semester contract position is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a K-12 school setting in Los Angeles, CA. This role requires a dedicated SLP to work 7-14 hours per week, providing direct support to students and collaborating with educational staff to promote effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify student needs.
- Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to develop and review tailored educational plans.
- Provide supervision hours to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) in accordance with professional guidelines.
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student progress and communication outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Must hold valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). No Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) will be considered.
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessments, and therapeutic interventions.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment.
