The role is based in an elementary school located in Los Angeles, CA, serving an elementary caseload with the support of an onsite Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This contract opportunity offers a comprehensive experience working within a dynamic and supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized speech and language therapy services for elementary students.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to address students' communication needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state policies.
- Utilize effective strategies for a variety of speech and language disorders within the school context.
- Work closely with the onsite SLPA to enhance service delivery and student outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working in school settings, preferably with elementary-aged children.
- Strong knowledge of speech-language disorders relevant to the school-age population.
- Ability to manage a full elementary caseload effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
