SLP in Los Angeles, CA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support students from Kindergarten through 8th grade in a dynamic K-12 educational setting based in Los Angeles, CA. This contract opportunity spans the upcoming school year and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' communication skills through direct intervention and collaboration with educators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and individualized therapy for students with speech and language disorders.
- Implement and support use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices to enhance student communication.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies and state guidelines.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional expertise.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license and certification.
- Experience working with K-8 students in a school-based setting.
- Proficiency in AAC devices and strategies to support non-verbal or minimally verbal students.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
