Pediatric School Speech Pathology | Riverside, California
This position offers the opportunity to provide Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) services in educational settings, primarily serving high school students with moderate to severe disabilities. The role involves delivering direct therapy and support tailored to students with a range of communication challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide speech therapy services to high school students with mild/moderate and moderate/severe disabilities.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to optimize student outcomes.
- Deliver a few hours of service monthly at a Nonpublic School in Buena Park in addition to full-time responsibilities near Fullerton.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with pediatric and school-age populations.
- Familiarity with providing services in healthcare and school settings is beneficial.
- Ability to manage caseloads involving students with mild to severe disabilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Must possess American Sign Language (ASL) proficiency.
Location and Schedule:
- Based in Fullerton, CA, with some service hours at a Nonpublic School in Buena Park.
- Contract position running August through December, with potential to extend based on need.
- Full-time hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with part-time and Extended School Year (ESY) work opportunities available.
- Employment guaranteed full-time through December; continuation beyond that will be evaluated.
