Speech and Language Pathologist in Whittier, CA
An opportunity is available for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support an elementary caseload within a K-12 school setting in Whittier, CA. Grade Levels: Elementary (within K-12)
Duration: ASAP through December 19th (potential extension possible, with a site change)
Caseload: Elementary, single site
Schedule: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for elementary students with speech and language impairments
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to create individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Track progress and document services in compliance with legal and educational standards
- Implement effective communication strategies to help students achieve their goals
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred, but Candidates who have completed their Clinical Fellowship (CF) are encouraged to apply
- Experience working with elementary-aged students is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders within the school environment
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining detailed documentation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and educators
