Role Overview: You will manage a caseload of approximately 28 students, conducting thorough assessments and developing individualized therapy plans. Your work will focus on delivering direct speech and language therapy tailored to each student's unique needs while collaborating closely with educators and families to foster student growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct therapy services to K-12 students, primarily elementary-level
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support accommodations and modifications
- Monitor and report on student progress and adjust therapies as needed
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and help set goals
- Offer guidance and resources to parents and caregivers
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of IEP processes and educational laws
Location: This position is based in Liverpool, NY, serving a K-12 school community.
