A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available within a welcoming public school district located in the northern suburbs of Denver, Colorado. This district serves approximately 7,000 students across 16 sites and values both new graduates and experienced professionals. The position is based at an elementary school serving Pre-K through 6th grade students, with a caseload of about 40 students presenting mild to severe speech and language needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services and maintain detailed service notes.
- Manage caseloads of students with speech-only IEPs as the case manager.
- Deliver monthly speech minutes as outlined in IEPs.
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student communication goals.
- For candidates with Clinical Fellowship status, supervision will be provided by the district.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Possess a current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology or be a Clinical Fellow (CF) eligible for supervision.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
- Hold or be in the process of obtaining Colorado Department of Education (CDE) credentials; candidates must indicate their credential status with the application.
- Experience working with students who have mild to severe communication needs is preferred.
- Must not hold Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certification; no hybrid or VOCO placements accepted.
Interview Process:
- The initial screening interview will be conducted via video call with the director of integrated services.
- A panel interview will follow, ideally in person but accommodating remote attendance if necessary.
- Interviews are primarily scheduled on Mondays and Fridays.
