A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available within a K-8 educational setting serving a diverse student population. This contract role spans the current school year and is based in the Arvada, CO area.
Location:
Thornton, CO (Near Arvada)
K-8 site with a caseload of 50 students
Students served include 36 with mild/moderate needs and 14 with moderate/severe needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, evaluation, and intervention services to students with speech and language impairments
- Collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Monitor and document student progress and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders
- Support functional communication goals tailored to student needs in a K-8 school environment
Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) licensure for Speech-Language Pathologists
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with diverse caseloads across mild/moderate and moderate/severe classifications
- Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology practices and ability to adapt interventions to meet student needs
