A contract opportunity is available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide maternity leave coverage within a K-12 school setting in Aurora, IL, and surrounding districts. These positions support students in structured, self-contained classrooms specializing in Autism and Intellectual Disabilities.
Location
Multiple classrooms across several schools in nearby communities, including Clarendon Hills, Willowbrook, Downers Grove, and Westmont, IL.
Assignment Details
- Contract duration: Approximately late January to early June 2026 (exact dates vary by assignment)
- Full-time hours: 35 to 37.5 hours per week
- Caseload: 3-4 classrooms per SLP, with 6-8 students per class in the Structured Learning Environment program
Qualifications and Experience
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Endorsement
- Active Illinois Speech License
- Candidates with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred but not required
- Consideration will be given to SLP Clinical Fellows (CFY) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Experience working in school settings with students who have Autism and Intellectual Disabilities is highly desirable

- Deliver speech-language services tailored to individual student needs within self-contained classroom settings
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with educational guidelines
