Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist in Aurora, IL

An immediate opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential services during upcoming maternity leaves at several elementary and middle schools in the Aurora, IL area. This contract position offers flexible placement options across multiple school sites, including Clarendon Hills, Willowbrook, Downers Grove, and Westmont.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Professional Educator License (PEL) and Illinois SLP license required for SLP candidates
- Credentials as a Clinical Fellow (CF) or SLPA are welcomed; supervision will be provided
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology preferred
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively across elementary and middle school settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with educators and families
Position Details:
- Duration: Immediate start through the end of the 2023-2024 school year (around May 28)
- Weekly schedule: Approximately 37.5 hours
- Placement options include: • Four classrooms at a primary school in Clarendon Hills • Two classrooms at an elementary school in Willowbrook • One elementary classroom in Downers Grove • Two middle school classrooms in Westmont
- Flexibility in assignment based on openings and candidate preferences
- Supervision provided for CF and SLPA candidates
