This full-time position, running Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Pre-K through 2nd grade students. As a School Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll support a caseload of 50-60 children, helping to unlock their communication potential and foster academic success.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current state licensure (or eligibility)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Experience or strong interest in working with children ages 3-8
- Knowledge of assessment tools and best practices for school-based speech therapy
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt therapy methods for diverse needs and backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in a school setting
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students on your caseload
- Provide targeted therapy, both individually and in group settings, focused on speech, language, voice, and fluency
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all documentation requirements
- Attend IEP meetings, provide consultation to staff, and contribute to a positive, inclusive school community
