Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) — Lincoln, RI Area
Contract: Full-time, Short-Term (8 Weeks)

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time, short-term contract with school districts in the Lincoln, RI area. This 8-week assignment offers an opportunity to provide specialized support to students with speech and language needs in an engaging, collaborative school setting.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct evaluations, assessments, and screenings to determine student eligibility and service needs.

Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with IDEA and Rhode Island regulations.

Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service staff to support student communication and academic success.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes, IEP updates, and service logs.

Incorporate evidence-based practices and assistive technology, including augmentative/alternative communication (AAC) systems.

Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Required Qualifications (State & Local Compliance)
Applicants must meet all Rhode Island and district requirements, including:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Valid Rhode Island Speech-Language Pathology License issued by the Rhode Island Department of Health.

Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (Specialist I certificate).
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred; Clinical Fellows may be considered if district-approved.

Completion of background check and fingerprint clearance through RIDE and the district.

Health and immunization clearances as required by the school district.

Prior experience in school-based settings with diverse caseloads.

Strong collaboration skills with educators, administrators, and families.

Familiarity with multi-tiered systems of support and culturally responsive practices.
