A speech-language pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available on a contract basis providing services within elementary and middle school settings. This role involves delivering direct speech therapy to students, both in-person and through teletherapy, focusing on supporting communication development across diverse learner populations. The position is located in Lexington Park, MD, with assignments primarily at multiple schools including Warwick Elementary, North Dorchester Middle School, and Choptank Elementary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Implement individualized therapy plans tailored to meet student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Provide teletherapy services as part of the treatment options
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school and state requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license is required
- Experience working within school settings preferred
- Proficiency in delivering teletherapy sessions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging students and school teams
Position Details:
- Contracted through June 10, 2026
- 37.5 hours per week
- Multiple school sites with start dates available immediately and from April 1st depending on location
