This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position supports elementary students in Lewisville, TX, covering two maternity leaves through a contract assignment for the current school year. The role offers the opportunity to work onsite at multiple elementary schools within the district, serving students from PreK through 5th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students across two campuses with a combined caseload of approximately 101 students.
- Cover maternity leave assignments beginning immediately through January at Independence Elementary (PreK-3rd grade) and from January through early April at Old Settlers Elementary and Southridge Elementary (K-5th grade).
- Work two half days at an additional campus as required.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Preference for SLPs holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Clinical Fellows (CFs) may apply only if supervision arrangements are secured prior to starting; the district cannot provide supervision.
- Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Location: Lewisville, Texas (onsite at multiple elementary schools)
