Blazer Jobs is working with multiple Texas school districts to recruit qualified and motivated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for the 2025–2026 academic year. Role Overview

SLPs in Texas schools provide critical support to students with speech, language, and communication disorders, enabling greater success in both academic and social settings. You'll collaborate closely with school teams, contribute to special education assessments, and help design individualized treatment plans that support students' growth and learning.

Openings are currently available in Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Fort Worth, El Paso, Plano, and other regions across the state.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Administer comprehensive speech and language assessments in compliance with Texas Education Agency (TEA) and IDEA regulations

  • Provide direct therapy services tailored to each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)

  • Develop, maintain, and revise treatment plans based on student progress and needs

  • Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families and educational staff

  • Maintain accurate documentation to meet district, state, and federal compliance standards

  • Supervise SLP Assistants (SLPAs) in accordance with the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

  • Active or eligible Texas SLP license

  • Texas Education Agency certification (or willingness to obtain, if required by the district)

  • Knowledge of school-based practices, IEP development, and IDEA compliance

  • Prior experience in K–12 or pediatric settings is preferred

  • Must complete background checks and fingerprinting as required by Texas school districts

Job Details

  • Full-time and part-time positions available

  • Contract spans the 2025–2026 school year (August–June)

  • W-2 employment through Blazer Jobs
