A specialized role is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) focused on school settings within the Lewistown, PA area, serving Mifflin County, Juniata County, or Fulton County. This contract position is part of the 2025/2026 school year with a start date as soon as possible through June 19, 2026. Both part-time and full-time candidates will be considered, but the role requires in-person attendance only.
Location:
- Lewistown, PA (serving surrounding counties: Mifflin, Juniata, Fulton)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to students in school settings.
- Manage caseload based on location and candidate skillset.
- Collaborate with educational and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders according to school protocols.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education PK-12 Educator Credential required.
- Certified Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) strongly preferred.
- Prior experience working as an SLP in school settings.
- Ability to work effectively in-person with children across multiple counties.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Work Details:
- Contract role from ASAP through 6/19/2026.
- Part-time or full-time hours considered.
- Caseload TBD depending on candidate’s location and skills.
- In-person attendance is mandatory.
