About the Role:
As an SLPA on our team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality speech and language services to children with communication needs. Working under the supervision of licensed SLPs, you will assist in implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s unique goals. This position involves both direct therapy delivery and comprehensive data collection, ensuring measurable progress toward each child’s communication objectives.
Your role will require close collaboration with SLPs, teachers, families, and other school staff to create an inclusive and supportive environment for student growth. You will be expected to maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with all professional and ethical guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver speech and language therapy services in line with individualized education programs (IEPs) under licensed SLP supervision

Assist in preparing materials and activities that support therapy goals

Collect, record, and analyze data on student progress and therapy outcomes

Communicate effectively with SLPs to report on student performance and adjust therapy plans as needed

Collaborate with teachers and families to foster a supportive learning environment and reinforce therapy goals

Adhere to all confidentiality, safety, and ethical standards in student care

Participate in team meetings and professional development as required
Qualifications & Requirements:

Current and valid SLPA certification/license required by the state of Maine

Prior experience working with children in school or clinical settings strongly preferred

Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Ability to work independently, as well as part of a multidisciplinary team

A passion for helping children achieve their communication potential
