A dynamic opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide support within a K-12 school setting in La Plata, MD. This contract position offers the chance to work with students across the entire K-12 spectrum, focusing on delivering essential speech and language services that promote communication skills and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to maximize student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and district regulations
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
Qualifications and Experience:
- Maryland Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) License required
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working in school-based settings with K-12 populations
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and evidence-based therapeutic techniques
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Location and Schedule:
- Position located in La Plata, MD, serving students within the K-12 range
- Typical work hours approximately 7:15 AM to 3:00 PM
- Contract duration: ASAP through June 9th of the current school year
