About the Position
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join a K–8 district in Lansing, IL. This is a school-based role supporting students with a wide range of communication needs, from early learners through middle school. The district provides strong multidisciplinary support, making this a great environment for SLPs who value teamwork and meaningful student impact.
This position offers consistent weekly hours and the opportunity to work with a dynamic caseload, while contributing to a collaborative special education team.
Primary Responsibilities

Deliver direct speech and language therapy for students in EC through 8th grade

Conduct evaluations and determine service recommendations

Participate in IEP meetings, contributing goals, progress updates, and documentation

Provide case management for speech-only students as needed

Support both in-class and pull-out service models

Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, school administrators, and families to address communication needs

Prepare and maintain accurate student records and required paperwork
Qualifications

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Active Illinois SLP License + PEL

Familiarity with school-based services preferred

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Strong communication and documentation skills
