School Speech Language Pathologist - Lancaster, CA

Step into a rewarding opportunity making a meaningful impact in a school-based setting near Lancaster, CA. You’ll work full-time, onsite with a manageable caseload of approximately 55 students. This contract role offers the chance to develop relationships, collaborate with educators, and help students grow and succeed through tailored speech and language services.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license for California
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Previous experience working in school settings strongly desired
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to effectively engage with students, educators, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, both individually and in small groups
- Conduct assessments, interpret results, and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education teams, and families to support student progress
- Maintain thorough records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and student achievements
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff development as needed
- Adjust interventions based on ongoing data and student needs
- Stay current with best practices in the field and ensure compliance with district and state guidelines
