Full-Time Openings: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) & Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

A dedicated school district in Forest, Mississippi is hiring for two essential roles to support students during the 2025–2026 academic year: a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct speech-language evaluations using both formal and informal tools

Develop individualized goals and treatment plans in alignment with IEPs

Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students in group or individual sessions
-
Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation of services provided

Consult with educators, specialists, and family members to support progress

Attend and participate in IEP meetings and student planning sessions

Supervise SLPA(s) as required by state and district regulations
Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
-
Valid Mississippi SLP license (or ability to obtain prior to start date)

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred

Experience working in school settings is helpful but not mandatory

Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with all stakeholders
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Primary Responsibilities:

Provide speech and language therapy services to students under supervision of an SLP

Support treatment plan implementation and therapy session preparation

Document student progress and maintain service logs as required

Collaborate with SLP and school staff to align interventions with academic goals

Contribute to the positive development of communication skills in students

Maintain compliance with ethical and professional guidelines in school-based services
Required Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field

Valid SLPA license from the state of Mississippi (or eligibility to obtain)

Excellent organizational skills and a willingness to learn

Previous experience in a school setting is beneficial but not required
