Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist in Lafayette, LA
A licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) is needed for a middle school setting near Lafayette, LA. This full-semester contract position offers the opportunity to provide speech therapy services to approximately 30 middle school students. The schedule requires 2.5 days per week, including some compensatory services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech-language therapy to middle school students
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to support student progress
- Provide both on-site and/or virtual therapy sessions, depending on candidate preference
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports aligned with regulatory standards
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license with CCC certification
- Experience in pediatric and school-based speech therapy settings
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and remote service delivery
- Strong communication skills with students, families, and educational staff
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently, including compensatory service planning
