Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Beaver, WA
A K-12 Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2026-2027 school year in Beaver, WA. This full-time contract role is located within a single campus consisting of three buildings: elementary, middle, and high school, with the majority of services provided at the elementary level.
Responsibilities include delivering speech-language therapy services primarily to students from pre-kindergarten through 1st grade, with additional support for several older high-need students. The caseload typically begins around 36 students and may grow to 42-44 by the end of the year. Most cases involve mild to moderate speech and language challenges, alongside a subset of moderate to severe needs among older students. The role requires participation in evaluations and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as necessary.
Key details:
- Contract duration: Approximately September 1, 2026, to June 15, 2027 (dates subject to district calendar confirmation)
- Work hours: 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- Caseload focus: Early childhood (PreK-1st grade), with some older, high-need students
- School setting: One K-12 campus with three separate buildings
Preferred qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings
- Ability to manage a growing caseload effectively
- Strong organizational skills for scheduling therapy sessions and coordinating evaluations/IEP meetings
