A travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available in La Porte, IN, offering an onsite position within a school setting. This opportunity provides a 35-hour workweek over a 26-27 week school year, focusing on delivering high-quality speech-language therapy services to students with diverse needs.
Key responsibilities include contributing to the planning and implementation of speech-language therapy targeting assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and addressing delays in receptive and expressive language development. The role requires performing diagnostic and evaluation testing, producing clear and insightful reports based on assessments, and working with students with moderate to severe disabilities ranging from ages 2 to 22. Additionally, you will develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives and collaborate effectively with parents and peers to support student progress.
Qualifications for this position include holding or being eligible to hold an Indiana Professional License (IPLA) and a teacher’s license from the Department of Education (IDOE). Applicants should have at least 1 to 2 years of experience as an SLP, with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
