School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Anthony, New Mexico
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Speech-Language Pathologist is needed for a supportive school district in Anthony, NM. This contract position is available immediately through the end of the school year, with the primary assignment at an elementary school. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech therapy services to a caseload of approximately 60 students, including those in structured communication classrooms (SCCs).
- Focus on current therapy needs and caseload management; compensatory services are not required at this time.
- Work alongside bilingual SLPs; bilingual skills are ideal but monolingual candidates are also welcome.
- Support students using AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) devices; prior AAC experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Engage with a small, supportive district committed to student progress and professional collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid New Mexico state license for Speech-Language Pathology; candidates already licensed or in the process of licensure will be considered.
- PED certification from the New Mexico Department of Education is required by the start date; pending certification is acceptable.
- Experience in school settings as an SLP or a CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) candidate.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills, especially in AAC, are encouraged.
