Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – School-Based (Full-Time, Temporary)
La Mesa, CA | Full-Time (40 hrs/week) | September 10 – December 19, 2025
Potential for extension past December
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for a full-time temporary assignment covering an unexpected leave during the Fall 2025 semester. This position is based in La Mesa, CA, and involves working across two school sites within a supportive and collaborative district.
Position Highlights:

Assignment Dates: September 10, 2025 – December 19, 2025

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week

Caseload: Approximately 55 students
-
Student Population: Mild to moderate needs
-
Work Environment: Split between two schools within close proximity
-
Supportive multidisciplinary team and well-established resources
-
Potential opportunity for extension beyond December
Key Responsibilities:
-
Provide speech and language therapy services to students with mild to moderate needs
-
Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and track student progress
-
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
-
Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
Qualifications:
-
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
-
Current California SLP License or PPS Credential (or eligibility)

Previous school-based experience preferred, but new grads and CFs encouraged to apply

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-
Ability to work independently across multiple sites

Compensation for this position ranges from $50 to $60 per hour. We pay for direct and indirect services. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
