Speech and Language Pathologist in Dalton, GA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for a maternity leave contract within a K-12 school district located in Dalton, GA. This itinerant role focuses on providing onsite services at approximately 4-5 daycare centers across the district, specifically working with PreK students.
Location: Dalton, GA (multiple daycare sites in the district)
Duration: Approximately December 22, 2025 – April 6, 2026 (flexible transition dates)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 to 40 hours per week
Caseload: Primary responsibility for 13 students with IEP case management, serving roughly 39 students total
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to PreK children across multiple daycare locations within the district
- Manage IEP documentation and compliance for assigned students
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to support student communication development
- Travel between daycare sites to deliver onsite therapy services
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) SLP Educator Certificate
- Previous school-based or PreK experience highly preferred
- Ability to provide consistent onsite services and manage a mobile caseload
