Speech Therapist in Issaquah, WA
An opening position is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve secondary students in Issaquah, WA. This full-time contract role spans a full semester and offers the opportunity to work with both middle school students and homebound individuals, delivering comprehensive speech and language services in a dynamic educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to middle school students, ensuring approximately 725 minutes of service per month.
- Deliver specialized support to homebound students, including assistance with AAC devices and eye gaze technology.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to create individualized education plans and monitor student progress.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC credentials preferred.
- Experience working in school-based settings, particularly with middle school-aged students.
- Proficiency in AAC devices, eye gaze technology, and supporting homebound students.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Position Details:
- Location: Issaquah, Washington.
- Schedule: Monday 8:30 am – 3:30 pm (homebound students and AAC-related support), Tuesday–Friday 7:30 am – 3:30 pm (middle school).
- Commitment: Full semester contract with the option to start mid-February for overlap with current staff.
