A full-time or part-time Speech Language Pathologist is needed in a K-12 school setting in Kent, WA, for the remainder of the school year on a contract basis. This on-site position operates Monday through Friday, typically from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with exact hours depending on the building.

Responsibilities include evaluating a range of communication disorders such as receptive-expressive language, articulation, voice, fluency, and neuromuscular or non-vocal impairments. The SLP will document evaluation results thoroughly and explain how each communication disorder affects the student’s educational performance. You will develop and implement treatment plans, make recommendations for interventions, and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Caseloads will be assigned based on interview outcomes and SLP interests, covering elementary, middle, and high school students. The target caseload is approximately 45 students or more divided among four SLPs.

Qualifications and experience desired:

  • Valid Washington State SLP license ESA required
  • Eligibility to serve Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates
  • Completion of fingerprints through OSPI within the last two years
  • Skills in school-based speech-language pathology including evaluation, treatment planning, and collaboration with educational teams
