Speech Therapist in Metairie, LA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2026-2027 school year in Metairie, LA, serving a K-12 school setting. This contract role offers an opportunity to work directly onsite with students ranging from PreK through 8th grade.
Responsibilities include providing comprehensive speech and language evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, collaborating with educators and families, and tracking student progress to support academic success. Candidates will manage caseloads of either PreK-8th grade students (50-60 students) or 4th-8th grade students (approximately 55 students). Applicants are asked to specify their preferred caseload during the application process.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working in school settings, preferably with K-12 student populations
- Ability to engage and support diverse learners with various speech and language needs
- Strong communication skills and collaboration with educational teams
- Willingness and ability to work onsite full-time (37.5 hours per week)
- Candidates pursuing Clinical Fellowship (CF) are welcomed to apply
