Responsibilities include:
- Delivering on-site speech-language evaluations, therapy, and progress monitoring for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to create and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Maintaining detailed documentation and compliance with district and state regulations.
- Participating in team meetings and professional development activities aligned with the school calendar.
Qualifications and experience required:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana.
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is highly valued.
- Ability to manage a caseload in alignment with school structures and goals.
Location & Schedule:
- Position is based in a school district near Gretna, LA, primarily serving elementary students on the west bank.
- 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7 hours per day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch as per the school calendar.
